Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary and Wonderful World of Animation Review!

Happy Anniversary to Disney's Hollywood Studios! The park opened on May 1, 1989 as both a theme park and a working film and animation studio. It was made famous by attractions such as the Great Movie Ride and Backlot Tour, both of which no longer exist. In fact, very few things that could be done on opening day still exist. The 30th Anniversary celebration highlighted the park's impact on guests for the past 3 decades, as well as the future of the park. Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, and other new offerings are set to open within the next two years, bringing in a huge number of guests from around the world.

For the 30th Anniversary, the park offered a special parade, revealed a brand new logo, and sold special food and merchandise. I got to take part in all of that!

At night, Disney premiered a brand new nighttime show called Wonderful World of Animation. Scenes from Disney and Pixar movies are projected onto the Chinese Theatre, set to a score from the films!
