This week, I’m walking through a classic jazz standard that also resonates in popular culture, Fly Me To The Moon. Of course, there’s some technical things that will present challenges around harmony here, but that’s not all. There’s a good chance that you might be playing this with a vocalist, which demands you to play the line in a certain way. It’s a great opportunity to think about context and how your bass line should adjust for that. As usual, I’m playing the line on Double Bass here, but this is a great one to play on Bass Guitar too!
