Price check shows what Utah families are actually paying for food

KUTV2News is launching a new segment tracking what Utah families actually pay at the grocery store. Every Monday, I’ll buy the same four staples: milk, eggs, bread, and beef, and report the real-time cost.

This week’s run was at a Smith’s.

Milk was the outlier for consistency. The store-brand price didn’t budge whether you grabbed whole, 2%, or skim: $3.29 a gallon.
