In this video, we highlight Skeledirge for the Regulation G format for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet VGC. Skeledirge has an interesting niche in the meta, and it's similar to that of Ceruledge (and even Chandelure). It's another fire/ghost type that can sit in front of Zamazenta & Koraidon and wall both restricteds out since fighting moves can't be used on a ghost type and the fire & steel attacks are naturally resisted. With access to Will-O-Wisp like Incineroar, Skeledirge can also burn these physical attackers and can ramp up damage overall with Torch Song. The best placement on a team for skeledirge in my opinion is Terapagos, as Zamazenta & Koraidon are the biggest threats to it. From here, we build out the rest of the team with more standard options like Tornadus, Urshifu, and Amoongus. Raging Bolt with the Assault Vest gives more control with electroweb and Snarl mitigation.
