Rajni Madam has explained the chapter 2 of class 10th - Sapno ke se din ( सपनों के से दिन )। She tells that how the writer Mr. Gurdayal Singh remembers his childhood days which are like days of dreams only because they can not come again. Rajni Mam tells that how Gurdayal Singh Ji remembers about his school mates, neighbours and their children, their behaviour & attitude towards study, about their teachers etc. The writer mentions his teacher Mr. Pritam Chand who got become very angry on any indiscipline activity of students of even very class like class 4th. He used to beat them when he saw any indiscipline. Considering his harsh behaviour even with very small children students, the head master, Madan Mohan Sharma had suspended him. The head master specially wrote a letter to then Panjab's Education ministry to get him ousted for ever. After leaving his job, Mr. Pritam Chand started spending his time with parrots . He used to speak with sweet with parrots. The writer is surprised, when he can speak so sweetly with parrots, then why he could not speak in same way with them who are his students. The writer could not understand this at that time, but he now can understand his feelings towards students.
The writer tells about many other things like how Britishers tried to recruit Indians in their military during second world war in 1939. How Britishers used to tempt Indians youth about new boots and clothes.
He also mentions about his school days' leader Oma, who would like to be beaten by teachers but not complete his holidays homework. The writer tell him a brave boy who was not big in body, who was not handsome but he was a leader and the writer wanted to follow him.
Thus writer as a whole remembers his childhood days in this lesson.
