Honda Transalp gets Centerstand | Outback motortek

As the package from Outback Moto East arrived, anticipation stirred within me. I had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the centerstand, a crucial addition to my motorcycle gear. Yet, as I unpacked the contents and laid eyes on the skid plate already installed, a sinking feeling settled in.

There it was, the skid plate, a well-crafted piece of equipment, yet conspicuously too long. It protruded, taunting me with the impossibility of accommodating the centerstand without modification. Doubts crept in, swirling with frustration as I realized the predicament before me.

Contacting Outback Moto prior had provided reassurance, their assurance that both the skid plate and centerstand would seamlessly fit together. Yet, my own instincts had whispered warnings, doubts that now seemed all too prescient.

With a deep breath, I accepted the reality before me. The warranty had expired, and returning the skid plate for proper fitting was no longer an option. A decision loomed: to cut or not to cut, knowing that any misstep could lead to irreversible consequences.

Summoning resolve, I armed myself with tools and determination. Carefully, I measured and marked, steeling myself for the irreversible act of modification. With each precise cut, I felt a mix of trepidation and determination, knowing that this was the only path forward.

And then, as if by magic, everything fell into place. The centerstand nestled snugly into its designated spot, the modified skid plate now accommodating its presence with grace. Relief washed over me, mingled with a sense of accomplishment. Despite the challenges, I had overcome, adapting to ensure that my motorcycle was equipped for the adventures that lay ahead.

In the end, it was a lesson learned in the importance of trust in oneself, tempered by the necessity of practicality. As I gazed upon the now complete setup, I couldn't help but smile, knowing that I had conquered yet another obstacle on the journey of motorcycle ownership.
