The Conor McGregor situation continues to raise questions — and the timeline no longer makes sense.

For months, the direction appeared clear. Conor McGregor was expected to return against Michael Chandler, potentially on the White House card. That plan was publicly supported by McGregor, Chandler, and Dana White, seemingly checking every box required to make the fight happen.

Those changes have never altered fighter contracts, and no other athlete has suggested otherwise. Which raises a far more important question: why introduce this explanation now?
