Siren Ambiance - Alert/Attack - Iowa Falls, IA - 3/23/22 - [SWA]

While I was on my way to the thunderbolt 1003 in Iowa Falls, IA, I decided to place my audio recorder in a random place to try to get a cool ambiance. I ended up placing my audio recorder in a bush pretty much almost in the middle of nowhere just outside of town. There were some buildings lurking around but you get what I mean. I do apologize for the wind noises. It was very windy out when this was recorded. Anyways, When I first listened to this recording after the siren test, I was in disbelief! This ambiance couldn't have turned out any better. Especially since the thunderbolt and 2001's are quite equal in loudness. The wind must've been blowing just right. It seems like I always get really good ambiance recordings during SWA. I hope that I can keep this streak going for future ambiance recordings during SWA! The higher-pitched 2001-SRNB is coming from the south side of town while the lower-pitched 2001-SRNB is coming from the west side of town. I'm not sure why the 2001's sound off in attack while the thunderbolt sounds off in alert but we'll just go with it. I'm assuming that the 2001's were either programmed wrong or they just wanted the modern sirens to sound off in attack. Nashua, IA is dealing with the exact same situation except it's the thunderbolt that's sounding off in attack while the 2001's are sounding off in alert. I really like that the thunderbolt is the only siren in town that's sounding off in alert. It just really adds to the eerieness of this ambiance recording. Overall, this was one of the creepiest ambiance recordings that I've ever documented by far! That's all I gotta say for now. Check out the info below!
