Healing from trauma really requires a plan of how you are going to protect your greatest investment...YOU. If you believe yourself to be a dependent personality or you are connected to someone who is a dependent personality it will be important for you to do a lot of personal work. Your personal work may include setting boundaries, strengthening your defenses, abandoning harmful defense mechanisms, seeking out really good counseling, etc.

In this video, I discuss how a dependent personality (whether that is yourself or someone else) can slow down your progress in healing from trauma.
