Island Lake Cliff Jumping - Utah Uinta Mountains (Unedited 4K Raw Footage)

On this lovely early September day in the Uinta Mountains, a group of old friends returns to their old scout camp stomping grounds to take a plunge into the freezing 48 degree snow runoff water of Island Lake. Island Lake is found 3 miles due West of the Crystal Lake Trail head. The hike in is mostly flat with a few gradual inclines and declines. Island Lake is calm and beautiful. On the northern end is a cliff that ranges anywhere from approximately 30-50 feet in height. The water is plenty deep for cliff jumping, but is very cold. The cliff is also very nice to rock climb on. Thanks to Lance Nielson for all the good times. (All footage take on the Panasonic GH4).
