Eric filming on his 300xcw, me on my DRZ400S. At this point I've owned a motorcycle for three months and I'm about a month into riding off road. I think I'm getting hooked on trail riding. Elkins Flat has a little bit of everything. Lots of shaded, flowy single-track under tall pines. Baby head rocks throughout as well as some larger rocks scattered around. The elevation changes are not too extreme. The longest climb we did was about 1,000 vertical feet over about 7 miles. Enjoy climbing and descending over exposed roots and moderately technical sections. Trails are featured with soft berms, frequent whoops and overall in great shape. Downed trees were well managed. 38 miles this time. Can't wait to go back and get some more miles in.
