I've come to realise that the adulterous woman/seductress in proverbs can be seen of course as a warning for men to look out for however I am now also considering it as a body of people who do not walk after the ways of the Lord and lure individuals away from their first love Jesus Christ. We need to be satisfied with our own CISTERN.
Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well. Proverbs 5:15 May we DRINK from the fountain of Christ alone, may we not look anywhere for other forms of satisfaction. May we be delighted in Christ and His waters that never run dry!
Let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers. Proverbs 5:17 May we not run to foreign gods and other profane things that are not our Jesus. May we not submit to sin and strange idols the enemy tries to dangle before our eyes.
May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. Proverbs 5:18
May we be satisfied. May men in this generation be satisfied with their wives!! And may the church of God be satisfied with their prize. Jesus Christ!! May He forever satisfy us, may He forever be the one we love and are fully satisfied with!
