This was probably MY FAVORITE day of bicycle touring in South America this year. It was hot and difficult and remote... and I loved every second of it.

Rather than take the main road between the tiny towns of Raquira and Sachica, Colombia, I decided to take a small, remote and incredibly steep uphill road. The day was hot, the hill was brutal and I was forced to get off my bike and push my heavy load uphill on several occasions.
