Azalea garden spans 6,600 square meters, and features about 3,000 azalea plants of 100 different species.
Nezu Shrine is said to have been founded about 1,900 years ago by Yamato Takeru, 12th Emperor of Japan. The current shrine buildings were built in 1706 by the fifth Tokugawa shogun and are designated as National Important Cultural Properties.
