In this video, we take you behind the scenes of a full pond cleanout in Burlington, North Carolina, set in one of the most unique backyards we've worked in—a beautifully crafted Japanese-inspired rock garden featuring massive boulders, rare Japanese plant specimens, and serene landscaping.

This koi pond had some serious string algae overgrowth and was dealing with mulch runoff from poor erosion control. We tackled the cleanup, installed a new pump to boost the waterfall’s flow, and added an Aquascape IonGen system to help prevent future algae blooms and make long-term pond maintenance way easier for the homeowner.

We’ll be back this fall to expand the stream and elevate this already gorgeous water feature to a whole new level. Stay tuned—this one’s just getting started! 👀
