When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car audio system. To enable your radio you need the activation code that will be in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Kia servicecentre and get them to enter this code for you.

Last 4 digits of radio serial number" 0228+ 1212 = 1440 would be your radios pin code.
Enter that number you get and press enter.
To enter pin code For example 3212 into your stereo, always follow these steps,
a. Press Pre-set 1 button ⑩ three times.
b. Press Pre-set 2 button ⑪ twice.
c. Press Pre-set 3 button ⑫ once.
d. Press Pre-set 4 button ⑬ twice
e. Check that the PIN code shown on your stereo screen is "3212".
f. Press Pre-set 5 button ⑭ to activate the pin code.
