حضرت ابو ہریرہؓ کا واقعہ:

حضرت ابو ہریرہؓ کا اصل نام عبدالرحمٰن بن صخر دوسی تھا۔ آپ قبیلہ دَوس (یمن کا ایک قبیلہ) سے تعلق رکھتے تھے۔ جب رسولِ اکرم ﷺ کی دعوتِ اسلام یمن پہنچی تو حضرت ابو ہریرہؓ نے اسلام قبول کیا اور مدینہ منورہ ہجرت فرمائی۔

آپؓ غریب صحابہ میں سے تھے، اور اکثر صفہ کے حجرے میں رہتے تھے، جہاں غریب مہاجر صحابہ قیام کرتے تھے۔ وہ دن رات نبی کریم ﷺ کی صحبت میں رہتے، اسی وجہ سے انہیں سب سے زیادہ احادیث یاد رہیں۔ آپؓ نے تقریباً ۵۳۷۴ احادیث روایت کیں، جو کسی بھی صحابی سے زیادہ ہیں۔

ایک مشہور واقعہ:

ایک دن حضرت ابو ہریرہؓ کو سخت بھوک لگی۔ وہ مسجد نبوی میں بیٹھے رہے اور چند صحابہ سے قرآن کے متعلق سوال کرنے لگے، تاکہ کوئی انہیں کھانے کی دعوت دے دے۔ اتنے میں نبی ﷺ تشریف لائے، مسکرا کر فرمایا:
“ابو ہریرہ!”
انہوں نے عرض کیا: “لبیک یا رسول اللہ ﷺ!”
آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: “میرے ساتھ چلو۔”
آپ ﷺ انہیں اپنے گھر لے گئے، وہاں ایک پیالہ دودھ تھا۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا:
“ابو ہریرہ! اہلِ صفہ کو بلا لاؤ۔”
حضرت ابو ہریرہؓ کے دل میں خیال آیا کہ یہ تو تھوڑا سا دودھ ہے، سب کیسے پیئیں گے؟ مگر حکمِ رسول ﷺ کی تعمیل میں وہ گئے اور تمام اہلِ صفہ کو بلا لائے۔

سب ایک ایک کر کے دودھ پیتے گئے اور سیر ہو گئے۔ آخر میں رسول ﷺ نے فرمایا:
“ابو ہریرہ! اب تم پیو۔”
وہ پیتے گئے یہاں تک کہ فرمایا: “اور پیو۔”
انہوں نے عرض کیا: “یا رسول اللہ! قسم ہے اُس ذات کی جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا، اب مجھ میں جگہ نہیں رہی!”
تب نبی ﷺ نے باقی دودھ خود نوش فرمایا۔

یہ واقعہ نبی ﷺ کے معجزات میں سے ایک ہے، جس میں تھوڑا سا دودھ سب کے لیے کافی ہو گیا۔

وفات:

حضرت ابو ہریرہؓ نے خلافتِ معاویہؓ کے دور میں ۵۷ ہجری (تقریباً 676 عیسوی) میں وفات پائی۔ ان کی قبر جنت البقیع میں ہے۔

The Story of Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA)

The real name of Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) was Abdur Rahman bin Sakhr Al-Dausi. He belonged to the tribe of Daus in Yemen. When the message of Islam reached Yemen, he accepted Islam and migrated to Madinah Munawwarah to be with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

He was among the poor companions of the Prophet ﷺ and often lived in the “Suffah”, a section of the Prophet’s Mosque where the poor and homeless companions stayed. He spent all his time in the company of the Prophet ﷺ, listening carefully and memorizing everything. Because of this, he narrated more Hadiths than any other companion — about 5,374 Hadiths.

A Famous Incident

One day, Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) was extremely hungry. He sat in the mosque and asked a few companions questions about the Qur’an, hoping that someone might invite him to eat. Then, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came and smiled at him, saying:
“Abu Hurairah!”
He replied: “Yes, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ!”
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Come with me.”

The Prophet ﷺ took him to his home, where there was a small bowl of milk. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Abu Hurairah, call the people of Suffah.”

Abu Hurairah (RA) thought to himself, “This little milk will not be enough for all of them,” but he obeyed the Prophet’s command and called everyone.

All of them came, and each one drank from the milk until they were full. Then the Prophet ﷺ said to Abu Hurairah (RA):
“Now you drink.”

He drank, and the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Drink more.”
He drank again until he said:
“O Messenger of Allah, by the One who sent you with the truth, I can’t drink any more!”

Then the Prophet ﷺ smiled and drank the remaining milk himself.

This was one of the miracles of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, where a small amount of milk became sufficient for many people.

Death

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) passed away in 57 AH (around 676 CE) during the caliphate of Muawiyah (RA) and was buried in Jannat al-Baqi, the famous cemetery of Madinah.
