Bigfoot Signs & a Strange Heat Signature | Squatch Camp with Friends in Colville NF

In this full-length adventure, Pops heads deep into Colville National Forest with friends for a boots-on-the-ground Bigfoot investigation filled with tree structures, gifting, wood knocks, and a strange heat signature at squatch camp.

Nana is home resting from fibromyalgia flares on this one, but she’s here in spirit through our “Squatchin Adventures” song and traditions like the ladybug gifting station just outside of camp. 🐞

Change plans when our original campsite is being used by search & rescue

Push farther up the road into Colville NF to a secluded spot with arches, X’s, and “loopers”

Explore a quiet creek bottom surrounded by huckleberry bushes and game trails

Hear possible wood knocks and odd tapping sounds near the creek

Find unusual impressions near camp and discuss natural vs. something else

Run the Nana Cam, check structures just outside camp, and watch Kane go on full alert

Try a low-crackle propane “campfire” to reduce contamination from popping logs

And then… capture a fist-sized “orb” of heat on FLIR, rising from a log pile, moving, and dropping back down—twice—with no visible animal attached

As dusk falls, we sit quietly in camp with lights aimed toward the tree line, letting the forest speak for itself. It’s a subtle but powerful kind of night: Bigfoot signs, strange sounds, and one very curious heat signature that raises more questions than answers.
