11/26/25 Pre: Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 779 passes San Clemente Beach ft. 8 car set
Jon wanted to catch some Thanksgiving rush traffic from Amtrak Pacific Surfliner including: 8 car trainsets, the AmCal comets, AmCal painted NPCUs(which are already posted), and capture some Pacific Surfliners along the Beach. So on 11/26/25, we spent the day traveling back and forth on Metrolink's OC Line, making stops at Tustin and San Clemente stations.
This clip shows Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 779 passing San Clemente North Beach with 8 bi-level cars, 2 additional cars for the increased ridership during the Thanksgiving rush. This was the same train we spotted earlier in Tustin with 3 Superliners mixed in.
