#16 - Freddie’s Field of Dreams: Adnan’s Life-Changing Journey from Refugee to Rising Cricket Star

In this episode I was joined by one of the big stars from the BBC documentary 'Freddie's Field of Dreams - Adnan Miakhel.

Adnan's story is an inspiring one from fleeing Afghanistan & starting a journey that would last 5 long months over 15 countries to get to the UK.

He was lucky enough to have an opportunity to take part in the documentary headed up by legendary cricketer Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff in a show that not only improved their cricket skills but captured the importance of having a mentor & a purpose in life.

Adnan is now playing for Lancashire and is hoping to break into the second team next season with the longer term goal of landing a professional contract with Lancashire as well as going on to play for England.

I was personally inspired by Adnan in the show so it was a great pleasure to share this conversation with him. We also ventured into the importance of health & fitness for both your physical & mental well-being.
