This video demonstrates how a vane type vacuum pump can be used to boil water at room temperature or lower and a water jet vacuum aspirator can be used to boil water at slightly higher than room temperature by adding a small amount of heat. It also shows how an ordinary mason jar can be used as the vacuum chamber. The video demonstrates how boiling water depends on both atmospheric pressure and water temperature.
