Langkawi Island Hopping | Tasik Dayang Bunting | Fun Things To Do In Langkawi

In Langkawi Island hopping package, we will go to 3 islands, Dayang Bunting (Pregnant Maiden), Singa Besar Island(eagle feeding) and Beras Basah Island. The takeoff is from jetty Teluk baru is near to Resort World, about 1 km distance.

One of island visited in island hopping is Dayang Bunting. Dayang bunting lake is popular among the local because of it legend. The legend says that a man named Mat Teja met and fell in love with the princess Mambang Sari at the lake. They eventually married and the princess gave birth to a son. However their son did not live long and soon died. They decided to lay their son in the water of the lake and allow him to rest in peace. The princess also blessed all women having difficulty in conceiving a child. They would become fertile once they take a dip into the water of the lake.

Going to the lake require minimal hiking. Don't worry, just follow the concrete walkway and burn some calories. Enjoy natural rain forest and it's sound during walk to the lake. You will reach the lake after 20 min walk. Don't forget to rent Life jacket at counter. I strongly suggest you take life jacket for safety. Some activities you can enjoy here is kayaking, swimming, riding solar powered boat or pedal powered.

Second island is Pulau Singa Besar. It is about 10 min from Tasik Dayang Bunting. Activities here are eagle feeding. A lot of eagle waiting for the boat to bring food. Eagles love chicken skin. 2 common eagle here are White Bellied and Brahminy Kite (Iconic Langkawi Eagle).

Third island is Beras Basah Island. Activities here are mainly snorkelling and watersport activities such as Jetski, Banana boat and etc. It is beautiful island with white sand beach.
