Old Marlin Spike Knife Restoration. In this video, I show the restoration of an old rusty sailor's pocket knife. This type of knife is called a Marlin Spike Knife. I really like these knives, so I decided to restore it. I removed the rust, sharpened and polished the blades and the spike. The handle scales were in poor condition and made of ordinary plastic, so I decided to replace them with micarta. I made emerald micarta by hand myself. I think the result turned out great.
