This is the 2nd Fortress level, and one that's full of buzzsaws. Remember that all of these Fortresses always has you fight against the Reznor at the end.
Speaking of which, if you have the Cape, you can use it to fly over lava that's beyond the 1st exit to reach a 2nd one with 1-Up Mushrooms.
Reaching Forest Fortress was actually a secret route. Beating it gives you access to Star World 4.
