The Huguenots who are the children and grandchildren of the Hebrew Israelites who were kicked out of Al’Andalus, which is modern day Spain in 1492 formed their group in France, and although they had become Christians, they were still at odds with the Church. They believed in the new version of Christianity called Calvinism. Calvinists believed that there was nothing you could do to become saved. They believe that God has already decided who he going to save and these people are called the Elect. This belief system put them at war with the Christian Church.
