Welcome back!
October was a busy month, hopefully you caught some Fall colors, but we are into November now and hiking season is coming in full swing. On today’s adventure we find ourselves back at ‘home’ in the Red.
Lots of great features can be found off Chimney Rock Road, including probably the most visited overlook in the gorge, Chimney Top Overlook. That’s where today’s adventure begins, checking out the views through the fog and a little photography. Afterwards we head toward the main feature for the day, Cherokee Arch! Getting to this arch is all off trail and does require some little scrambles, so grab your map/GPS, water and your footwear with the best grip and let’s go!
