They typically support conduit sizes up to 4" in diameter but some styles support conduit sizes up to 6" in diameter. They come with or without an insulated plastic throat liner to protect wires being pulled. Rigid or IMC connectors are used in dry locations to bond rigid or IMC conduit to electrical junction boxes and enclosures. And Rigid or IMC couplings are used to connect the ends of two unthreaded rigid or IMC conduits together. Similarly EMT connectors are used in dry locations to bond EMT thinwall conduits to electrical junction boxes and enclosures. And EMT couplings are used to connect the ends of two EMT thinwall conduits together. Garvin Industries' EMT and Rigid or IMC Conduit fittings have a durable construction that maintains mechanical protection and solid grounding of the conduit to the designated electrical junction box or enclosure. Fittings are made with a versatile combination head screw that can securely fasten a conduit using a slotted, Phillips, or Robertson head screw driver. Set screw fittings are available with a zinc electroplated finish for excellent corrosion protection in damp locations.
