The Raffles Udaipur is 25 minutes from Udaipur airport. With 101 rooms and suites, this resort is on its own island… Some might say it’s the height of Indian luxury, featuring a serene pool, an indulgent spa, and activities ranging from tennis and croquet to archery. The hotel has two main restaurants—one serving traditional Rajasthani cuisine and another offering a fusion of Indian, Italian, and Mexican dishes (yes I’m serious). Add in the charming boat ride across the lake and the island's isolation, and you've got a resort that feels like a private escape, though maybe a little too "Disneyland" for some.
But is it perfect? Well, it has its highs—like the jaw-dropping arrival and excellent service—but I’ll also share why it might feel a bit manufactured compared to the iconic Raffles in Singapore.
