Beloved vlogger and YouTube creator Adam the Woo passed away on Monday, December 22.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Adam—51, whose real name was David Adam Williams—was found deceased in his home in Celebration, Florida. Deputies were first dispatched to the residence at approximately 12:24 PM on Monday to conduct a welfare check after attempts to contact him were unsuccessful. Later that afternoon, at around 2:53 PM, deputies returned to the address alongside Fire Rescue after receiving a report of an unattended death.

Investigators stated that a close friend of Adam’s, who had seen him the day before, grew concerned. The friend borrowed a ladder and looked through a third-story window of the home, where he saw Adam lying motionless on a bed.

Fans have since learned that the friend who discovered Adam was Dune Buggy Jim, known online as Orlando Grinch or Orlando Chewie, who has worked closely with Adam for many years.

On Saturday, 27th December, Orlando shared a heartfelt tribute across all three of his Instagram accounts, confirming that he spent time with Adam on Sunday, December 21—the same day Adam’s final YouTube video was published. The video, titled “The Grinch Takes Over Celebration Florida, Christmas Time Craziness, Busy Saturday Night Downtown,” shows Adam exploring festive holiday decorations in his hometown of Celebration, Florida, alongside Orlando, who appears in character as the Grinch amid glowing lights and bustling crowds.

Recounting the loss, Orlando wrote:

"I know I speak for all of us when I say how deeply we miss Adam. Thank you for the outpouring of prayers and kind words. Waves of all sorts of emotions keep washing over me. It's been very hard and felt a bit crippling for the past 4 days. I feel Blessed to have spent several hours with Adam's Mother and Father on Christmas Day, cherishing the connection we shared. The loss of a Great friend has left me devastated. Adam wasn't just a friend, he was a Brother to me. And that's why I called him Brother, proud that I knew him for 9 years, happy that it was always so easy to make each other laugh, but also sad that we won't be making each other laugh again, won't be hangin out together and won't be planning our next bit to make you all laugh (we had quite a few planned for next years vlogs). I realize the laughter will always be there and will eventually return, but in a different way. Now it will be laughter from rewatching his vlogs and remembering our interactions. I'm scared the image of finding him on Monday won't leave my head. Unbelievably grateful that he spent his last day on earth with good friends, which was a gift of pure connection—filled with relaxing hours of storytelling, loud, long laughs, a cup of coffee, hugs, Christmas well wishes. I love you mans, and see ya soons. I can't even imagine if I had not said those things to him as he was leaving at this point. I know some spend a lifetime wishing they had that kind of closure—we won't. And finally, as we remember Adam, I am hopeful that God welcomed him with open arms, embracing him, saying 3 simple words… Come On In. Rest In Peace Brother, your spirit will always be with us. Godspeed Adam – Jim."

Adam’s fans around the world continue to grieve his passing. Those closest to his hometown have begun visiting his home, laying flowers and condolence messages, and offering support to his family. Fans have confirmed that Adam’s parents are deeply thankful for the overwhelming love and compassion shown for their beloved son. The family has also announced that a public funeral will be held, allowing fans and loved ones to pay their final respects.

Adam the Woo rose to prominence through his widely loved YouTube channel, where he documented travel, theme parks, roadside attractions, and pop-culture landmarks, building a massive and devoted following over the years. For many viewers, watching Adam was never just entertainment—it felt like spending time with a friend who encouraged them to slow down, explore, and appreciate life as it is. Adam is survived by his parents, Jim and June, and his sister, Faith.
