Wonder City, as it appears in this form, is the third track on Joe Hisaishi's 5th original studio album, Pretender. Wonder City originally appeared on Hisaishi's first original studio album "Information", then under the pseudonym of Wonder City Orchestra.
The version of Wonder City here, that appears on Pretender, takes on a significantly different feel; turning the song into a peppy, upbeat pop number. This 1989 version of Wonder City was also released (along with a few other songs from Pretender) later on the 2004 compilation album "Private".
