Newly Opened Puso Village Food Park/Food Market, Cebu City Dining Destination
The Puso Village Food Park replaces the recently closed Barracks Food Park at Carbon Market. The closure was done to give way for the construction of a new Carbon Market building.
Puso Village Food Park opened with a number, and even more, food stalls and kiosks than that of the Baracks. The place since recently opened is crowded with dining customers who want to savor Filipino and local Cebuano dishes.
Puso Village is named after the Cebuano favorite “puso” or hanging rice. It is a rice cake placed inside woven palm (coconut) leaves and boiled for several miniues much like cooking rice. The cooked product is a compact formed rice in a nicely designed palm leaves that one can bring anywhere and eat without needing a plate. Puso can be paired with viands or dishes.
