Dear Friends,
Today I would like to show you a dance that is a piece of history. It's Leonard Reed's "Shim Sham Shimmy" and is considered The Anthem of Tap Dance. I've read that Leonard said, "Take the routine and make your own version," and that's exactly what happened. There are many versions throughout the world but the rhythms and themes are always very similar. I have decided to show you a few versions of each section so you can build your own one or use different parts every time you practice it.
