In their WILDLABS Awards 2024 project, @FishEye-Collaborative, FORTH, Curaçao Sea Aquarium, Sexton, and Cornell Bioacoustics designed and manufactured a scalable, affordable custom recorder specifically designed for recording fish sounds at depths of up to 240 meters.
Over the course of their project period, they developed the core MEMS sensor, built a complete system, began testing prototypes, and worked on deep deployment methods that use compact ROVs.
