Flying to New York with 3 Kids to Board the Queen Mary 2

We are officially starting our full time travel adventure with the kids. Today we flew from Indianapolis to New York City so we can board the Queen Mary 2 and cross the Atlantic. We spent the morning doing our last round of packing, loaded up the car, said our goodbyes, and headed to the airport with way too many bags and three very excited kids.

This video shows our full travel day from Indy to NYC. We get through security, deal with tired kids, grab a drink at Harry and Izzy’s in the airport, and take off for LaGuardia. Once we land, we make our way into Brooklyn, check in at the La Quinta Inn, grab some New York pizza, and settle in for the night before cruise day.

Tomorrow we head to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to get on the Queen Mary 2, but today is all about the travel day, flying with kids, and trying to keep everyone fed, organized, and happy. If you want to see what it looks like to start a long trip with a family, this is it.
