ArmAnDo a multifunctional turntable

ArmAnDo is a designed to enhance productivity and efficiency in industrial production companies. It serves as a platform for at collaborative robot (cobot) to operate multiple machines in turn. By utilizing the turntable, the cobot can easily switch between different tasks and perform various operations without the need for manual intervention.
In addition to its primary function as a turntable, ArmAnDo can be integrated with a mobile robot (ex. Omron LD250) that serves as a material handler. The LD efficiently delivers raw materials to the turntable and retrieves finished products. This integration streamlines the production process, eliminates the use of manual labor, and optimizes the workflow.

To ensure safety, the ArmAnDO turntable is equipped with safety scanners. These scanners continuously monitor the surrounding area, detecting the presence of any personnel and ensuring their safety by preventing any potential collision.

Concept overview of ArmAnDo. The operator selects the desired product program at the turntable, and it automatically positions itself accordingly and turns on demand from the MES system.
The turntable receives a box and transports it to the designated ready position. The Cobot (TM12) retrieves the unit from the box and feeds it into the CNC machine. After the CNC completes its operation, the Cobot removes the unit from the machine and places it back into the box.
The ArmAnDo rotates towards the measuring machine and the cobot takes the finished unit and inserts it into the measuring machine. Once the measuring is complete, the cobot removes the unit and returns it to the box.
The box is transported to the end of the conveyor and picked up by a mobile robot (LD250)
