The heroes in the Battle of Rezang La - 13 Kumaon Battalion was led by the braveheart Major Shaitan Singh, Param Vir Chakra. Northern Railways’ diesel sheds Alambagh and Ludhiana pay a tribute to our heroes in a unique style: Individual locos of different sheds named after Major Shaitan Singh (LDH/40264) and his battalion (AMV/40149) formed together as multiple unit locos, like the Major leading his battalion. The valour and strength of our heroes is perfectly complemented by the roaring diesel power, belting out 9000HP when in unison! An excellent depiction of teamwork triumphs…
