Richard Arm, a Senior Research Fellow from NTU's School of Art & Design, started his career as a visual effects artist making models for movies, adverts and TV shows.

Now, he's creating 3D-printed models of human organs that allow surgeons and trainees to practice and perfect complex surgeries.

Who would have thought, from a career as a visual effects artist, that Richard would be shaping the future of medical technologies and helping others to save lives.
