BUNGAY LOOP | Circling around the River Waveney

Welcome to our latest adventure on the UK Canoeing channel! In this film, Tim and Claire head northeast to the beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park, with Cat and Joe from Walk My World. We take on the Bungay loop, a circular route of the River Waveney exclusive to non-motorised craft, offering an undisturbed passage through some sparse lands.

Starting near Outney Meadow caravan and camping park, our journey begins with a short walk over a bridge to the launch site. As we set off on our evening paddle, we’re faced with the decision of which way to go. With Tim’s keen sense of direction, we choose on the correct path, navigating through slight winds and laughing along the way.

Our trip takes an unexpected turn when we lose our new Insta360 camera to the river, leading to a wild swim. Despite the setback, we decide to press on, so we don't miss out.

As the sun sets, we’re treated to a stunning display of nature, with a pink and cloudy sky reflecting off the glass-like water. We paddle beneath towering trees and navigate narrow river passages.

Our adventure concludes as we reach the endpoint, a muddy bank signalling our return to land. With our gear in tow, we reflect on the trail conquered and the memories made.
