Hive Stand Materials:
(1) 8' piece of pressure treated 4"x4"
(1) 8' piece of pressure treated 2"x4"
(16) Stainless steel, Epoxy coated or decking screws - #9 x 2-1/2"
Cuts:
Cut 4x4 into (4) pieces 9" long (or whatever height you want the stand to be)
Cut 2x4 into (2) 17" long pieces, and (2) 16-1/4"
Assembly:
Screw pieces together as shown in the video!
The Keeper's Hive allows beekeepers to access the brood chamber without needing to lift off any of the supers. This streamlines nearly all aspects of colony management and makes it far more enjoyable - you can even do it sitting down!
