After community created Half-Life Alyx Bootleg Tools I decide to slowly port Xen levels from Black Mesa to Source 2. Even moved from Bootleg Tools to official there is still lot problems.
First problem which I faced is lighting. Black Mesa using custom fog and lighting system, and because of this it will be very difficult to recreate lighting as close as possible to original.
Second problem is entities. Some core entities not working properly in Source 2 just because Valve didn't used them in the game (you can check hlvr.fgd and test excluded entities for yourself)
Third and one of the most disturbing problem is building map. Level compiler, lightmapper, visibility generator is not GPU-accelerated. And every time when you tried to build level with lighting it can takes for hours (if you haven't fast CPU and even if you turn off visibility generator)
