A quick between the stock Fender single coils and the Seymour Duncan SSL-1 that I'd been using in my 2011 Standard USA Strat, and a new set of Fleor Alnico V single coils.
I was finding the Fenders to be a bit to "boomy" in the bass, and the Seymour, whilst it was great, didn't really mix well with the stock pickups.
Swapping the whole lot out for a crazy cheap set of Fleors has improved things a lot. The difference is subtle, but it's there. Stronger top end, less boom in the bass and much more "Stratty" in-between sounds.
All in all, very happy with the swap!
