This is a practice video that showcases three reactions of easy, intermediate, and hard difficulties, to demonstrate the retrosynthesis of three molecules using the reactions of alkenes. The carbon-carbon pi bond in a double bond opens doors to a huge variety of functional groups in organic chemistry, including oxygenation, halogenation, and ring formation. Many of these reactions are stereospecific and regioselective, offering great control over the product structure.
