🚀 THEY TESTED EARTH'S GRAVITY—AND THEIR SOLDIERS' BONES SNAPPED INSTANTLY 💀
When the Galactic Confederacy finally remembers to evaluate Earth after a 300-year filing error, they expect a routine check-up. What they get instead? A catastrophic discovery that changes everything they thought they knew about human strength.
Captain Yhilnek and his crew arrive with standard testing equipment, ready to assess whether humans meet the "minimum galactic survival thresholds." But there's one TINY problem they overlooked: Earth's gravity is DOUBLE what most alien species evolved under. The result? Their elite soldier collapses the moment he tries to walk. Their medic breaks bones rushing to help. And Patricia Thornwood—a 63-year-old retired schoolteacher—accidentally becomes the most terrifying being in the galaxy just by showing up to walk her dog. 🐕
As Patricia effortlessly shatters every galactic fitness record without breaking a sweat, the aliens face an uncomfortable truth: humans aren't just strong. They're walking tanks who evolved on what the galaxy considers an EXTREME high-gravity death world. And somehow, humanity had NO IDEA.
What follows is a cascade of bureaucratic panic, political chaos, and the most awkward first contact in galactic history. Because how do you tell an entire species they've been accidentally training as super-soldiers their whole lives? And more importantly—how do you explain that to your supervisor? 😅
This is a story about miscommunication, cosmic irony, and what happens when the galaxy's most powerful beings just want to attend book club and share cookie recipes. No invasions. No battles. Just pure, chaotic HFY comedy with a Douglas Adams twist.
🎭 CHARACTERS FEATURING IN THIS STORY:
Patricia Thornwood - A recently retired middle school English teacher who becomes humanity's accidental first contact. After 37 years of confiscating smartphones and maintaining classroom order, discovering aliens ranks somewhere below "students turning in homework late" on her concern scale. Enjoys book clubs, walking her dog Biscuit, and inadvertently terrifying alien military specialists.
Captain Yhilnek - A four-armed amphibian from Keltor-5 who just wanted a simple assignment after his last mission documenting interpretive-dance-communicating aliens. Instead, he gets the most career-damaging evaluation in Confederacy history and a permanent case of stress-induced color shifting.
Vex'thalan - An insectoid military specialist who holds his ship's endurance record and takes EXTREME pride in physical fitness. His confidence lasts approximately three steps on Earth before his legs decide that structural integrity is optional. Currently recovering and writing very bitter reports about "evolutionary privilege."
Thrimp - A nervous purple octopus-like being serving as the ship's medic. Anxious about everything, which makes him excellent at his job but terrible at handling situations where his patients' bones spontaneously fracture from standing up. The only crew member who accurately predicted this would be a disaster.
Nimbix Crollendar - The galaxy's most aggressively mediocre bureaucrat, working in the Department of Biological Compliance Assessment. Discovered Earth's 300-year-old misfiled evaluation report and made the fateful decision to quietly schedule it rather than admit the error. Now desperately trying to bury the consequences in paperwork.
Ambassador Jennifer Okafor - Former international diplomat rapidly promoted to interstellar relations. Approaches first contact with the same professionalism she used for trade negotiations, plus an unsettling enthusiasm for meeting aliens that makes the entire Confederacy nervous. Currently managing humanity's accidental reputation as galactic super-soldiers.
Prel - An elegant stickbug-like scientist responsible for atmospheric testing. Watches his entire understanding of biological limits crumble as a retired schoolteacher casually performs feats that would qualify as Olympic records on his homeworld. Considering a career change.
Xhilara - Captain Yhilnek's supervisor, manifesting as an angry purple cloud of steam. Only appears in person when someone has REALLY messed up, which means Nimbix sees a lot of her. Currently having an existential crisis about humans existing.
Biscuit - Patricia's terrier. Completely unbothered by aliens, spacecraft, or first contact protocols. His main concerns are treats, walks, and whether that interesting smell is worth investigating. Possibly the bravest character in the story.
