The Mitsubishi Silver Pigeon was a popular series of motor scooters built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries between 1946 and 1963. 
• It wasn’t a four-wheeled car, but a two-wheeled scooter designed for personal transport in post-war Japan. 
• These scooters grew in displacement and refinement throughout the 1950s. For example, early Silver Pigeons had around 200 cc class engines by the mid-1950s. 
• A 1957 Silver Pigeon model (C-90) featured ~200 cc, and the 1958 model (C-93) had ~210 cc, so enthusiasts sometimes shorthand refer to them with engine size (e.g., “200”) even if that wasn’t the formal name. 
• The Silver Pigeon series was one of Mitsubishi’s first major post-war transport products and helped lay groundwork for its later automotive activities.
