Prickly Pear Cactus, aka Devil's Tongue, is native in my location. It's an incredibly hardy plant and very easy to reproduce. Today we start a cactus patch and explore the refurbished Oasis.

what is the Oasis?
The Oasis is simply a descriptive term for my backyard ecosystem. Formerly a plain, grassy backyard. Over the years I have heavily modified this area by adding certain plants and building a number of water features.
The Pool Ponds (featured on my channel) have been instrumental in the diy terraforming process. Attracting tons of new life and providing habitat for what I have captured over time.
Namely native pig frogs, local green anoles, various toads and tons of tree frogs. We even have a few non venomous snakes! like Corn snakes and large indigos.
The goal of this video and build project is simple: to fill an empty, desert-like area within the Oasis. Fill it with a plant that can enjoy such a location and hopefully bring in a whole new swath of wildlife to observe.
