In today’s experiment we have one of our volunteers, Tiffany, show us how water can be used to keep chocolate from melting. We sweat when our body temperature rises to keep us from overheating. When sweat evaporates from our skin, it takes with it heat energy, leaving us feeling cooler. Fans help reduce humidity in the air which allows for faster evaporation of sweat to cool us down. For this experiment, you will need a paper towel, room-temperature water, 2 pieces of small chocolates in their wrappers, tape, scissors, a glass, a timer, a sheet of paper or a ruler, and a hair dryer. You can skip ahead to 0:40 to jump right into the experiment.
