The wail of Bertram's tornado siren sounded good and loud today, Mayor Pro Tem Cynthia Anderson says the siren on the town water tower sometimes isn't as loud as it should be. She says, "It doesn't work is because we have a big population of small birds, and when the fire whistle goes off it sucks the birds in and clogs it up."
