Answering a question from one of my valued subscribing who would like me to make a video about how I became a Nurse Specialist in the UK, where I studies and how I got my qualifications.
I studied Nursing in Ghana at University of Ghana Legon with BA Hons in Nursing with Psychology 1996 -1999. I moved to the UK in 2003 as an adaptation nurse after 5 years of working on the wards, I applied to become a Nurse specialist.
I had on the job training from the beginning, then went on a five day in-house training and a ten weeks CPD training at Thames Valley university.
You can apply to become a nurse specialist from at least 18 months of experience.
