This story tells of Sanja, a fierce warrior who protected his land with strict laws against fishing, tree cutting, and using another village’s resources. When Majeng broke these rules, Sanja fought and killed him. He later killed Bicheng and his family for cutting the Mandalgre forest, taking their heads home as trophies. Sanja became feared after defeating three enemies on the road and was involved in many land conflicts, including battles with Romba’s and Chandigre’s people, where several men were killed and villages formed long-lasting enmity.
When Chandigre sent sixty men to kill him, Sanja escaped by leaping into the Simsang River and survived on a sandbank. Later, hired warriors tried to attack, but his ritual preparations made them believe there were three Sanjas, causing them to flee. To protect himself, he built a bamboo house with nine doors and lived with extreme vigilance, sleeping with open eyes. Through courage, discipline, and unmatched strength, Sanja killed many enemies and became one of the most feared defenders of his land.
