ᴴᴰ⁶⁰ ᴴᴰᴿ NYC Subway: R160 & R179 (F) Local/Express Trains @ Avenue N (03/29/2025)

Railfanning at Avenue N on the IND Culver Line on a Saturday featuring service changes like the (F) to Kings Hwy as well as trains running express in the northbound direction. This was taken in the late afternoon when temperatures peaked in the mid-70s.

Planned Work - (F)
• In Brooklyn, no trains between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av. Trains run between Jamaica-179 St and Kings Hwy. Free shuttle buses provided alternate service.
Why? Track replacement

• In Brooklyn, Manhattan-bound trains run express between Kings Hwy and Jay St-MetroTech.
Why? Signal modernization

• In Queens, 179 St-bound trains run local from 36 St to Forest Hills-71 Av.
Why? Signal improvements
